Vacation is over, the suitcases unpacked, and all that's left of a great weekend is the memories. But that's the best part, isn't it? Well, after the vacation is over, at least. :) We had such a good time! Very relaxing, and lots of fun. There were 10 children, 2 and under (and 3 over), so there was a little less rest for the moms. We had a beautiful place to stay and plenty of room for all of us. I know you're not real excited to be reading my 'journal' of the weekend, so here are some pics... :)
Karen's sweet, little twins that we hadn't met yet. Allison on the left and Helen on the right.
There were alot of games of pool played! I had forgotten how fun that is. :) Was so special to have Paul's mom there! A few months ago, we weren't sure what the future held, and still don't. But trusting God for her future.

Kylan and Brooklyn, blowing bubbles
MaryAnna's Megan ~This little girl doesn't hold still for a minute! One afternoon, we went to a park and the children played.

Saturday, we went to Grandfather Mountain and walked across the mile high swinging bridge. It was F.R.I.G.I.D COLD up there!!

There was lots of time for sitting and relaxing...

And the beautiful house we were priviledged to inhabit for a couple days. Yesterday morning, Paul left about 4 am, on a business trip to Chicago. He will be back tomorrow night, hopefully. So, we're alone here for a couple days. I have decided that my vacation will just continue a little longer. :) You know they say, "When the cat's gone, the mice play." :) Ha! Have a great week!! ~Amber |
